Thuto Bophelo Training & Skills Academy

We are so excited about this institution!  We all know how much we need high quality healthcare in South Africa, and Thuto Bophelo is the perfect training & skills academy to obtain this qualification. We have worked with them for many years, and they now also provide entry level healthcare qualifications in Pretoria.  This means, if you did not finish Grade 12, and are passionate about healthcare, you still have an opportunity to pursue this calling.

While pursuing a career focused education, and obtaining a national recognised qualification, you can also gain critical work experience in the field.

They offer the following courses:

Occupational Certificate: Pharmacist’s Assistant (need Grade 12 with Maths and Physical or Life Science);

Occupational Certificate: Health Promotional Officer (need Grade 9-11);

Occupational Certificate: Home Based Personal Care Health Worker (need Grade 9-11);

Occupational Certificate: Disability Attendant (need Grade 9-11);

Occupational Certificate: Home Based Personal Care Health Worker (need to Read & Write English).

Foster Care Club

Inspired by World Foster Care Month celebrated in November, CPI SA in 2019 launched a Foster Care Club supporting South African Foster parents. The club serves as a connection to bring foster parents together.

Parents can send their:

  • Questions;
  • Messages; or
  • Thoughts and struggles to CPI SA.

Bags of Mercy Initiative

South Africa has one of the highest rates of violence against women (GBV). The Bags of Mercy Initiative mobilises women to become an invisible friend to an abused woman by gifting a handbag – old or new – filled with things that can make her rediscover her self-worth.
