It is a new school year, and for most of us, buying our kids all the stationary and supplies they need to kick off the new year, comes naturally. Unfortunately this doesn’t ring true for everyone.
CPI SA was able to help 3 scholars ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 11 with essential school stationary and supplies. Families that are in desperate need cannot afford the high cost of school supplies, and are already struggling to make ends meet every day.
These children can now start the new school year without feeling anxious for not having the correct supplies. We even threw in a lunchbox, water bottle, a snack and a toy to make them feel special. We also blessed one mommy with a handbag filled with much needed toiletries from our Mercy Bags project. These toiletries will go a long mile for her and her children.
If you feel the need to help children with stationary, start by buying as little as one stationary item each month and set it aside. By the next year you would have accumulated all the necessary items to bless a child (or two) in need. They all deserve an equal start to their school year. Education is key, and if you are in a position to do so, you are contributing towards a child obtaining an education, and ultimately breaking poverty cycles.
Thank you for caring with us!
